They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  If you're looking at the photos below, and then running to see if they match the photo in the back of my books, the answer is 'NO."  Of course, the photo on the back of my books is 15 years old!  Do you think I'm nuts?  Below is what I really look like.  On the dust jacket is what I looked like 15 years ago on a really, really, reallly, reeeeaallly good day.

The photos below prove that life begins after 40!

These are the flowers I received from Harlequin honoring my 2008 RITA nomination for Pursuit of Justice, a Love Inspired Suspense: editor Krista Stroever.

At the recent 2008 Desert Dreams conference, Harlequin editor Brenda Raisanen.  First is Barbara White, then there's my smiling face, Brenda is in the white and black skirt.  Then, there's my best friend Cathy McDavid's smiling face.  Linda Style is leaning against the ostrich.  Finally we have Brenda Novak and Carrie Weaver.
My critique group established back in 2002 and still going strong.  I'm the dark-haired one, betcha couldn't guess.  Next to me is Libby Banks.  She's this close to being published (picture me with fingers squeezed together).  Then, there's Connie Flynn author of award-winning paranormals.  Finally, see Cathy McDavid who writes for Dorchester and Harlequin American.  This is our Christmas 2007 photo. In November of 2007, I spoke at the main Scottsdale Library.  I taught a workshop called "What's on the Menu for a Romance Writer."  This is me and a participant.
This is Carol Cox and I.  She drove down from Ashfork (four hours) on July 21, 2007, just to speak to the local chapter of ACFW (That's the CWOW group) Her workshop was about time management and boy did she do a great job.   I participated on a panel entitled "Some Like it Hot."  The gentleman is Kenneth Brown.  He used to be an FBI agent and is now a CPA.  He is self-pubbed and goes for what I'd call a niche market.  Then, there's me in the middle.  On my other side is Denise Agnew.  She has published with a number of small presses and is definitely representing the hot, while I represented the cold LOL.  Kenneth, I'm not sure.  I purchased a book and will read it soon.
This is Michelle Sutton and me.  We're both at the March 2007 Sierra Vista High Desert Crimes bookfest.  I'm signing my Harlequin Pursuit of Justice.  She's keeping me company.  Of course, she'll expect me to do the same when her book comes out! For the last year, here in Phoenix, we've been trying to put together a local chapter of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW).  It finally happened in January of 2007.  Michelle Sutton was our tenth member so we are officially a group!  I'm the chubby dark-haired gal front row, second from the right.  Oh, yeah, I'm president of our local chapter right now :)

Carrie Weaver and I at the Desert Dreams Conference in April of 2006. We're smiling because we're not in charge of the conference.

February of 2005, I not only signed books (sitting beside my best friend, author Cathy McDavid) at the Glendale Chocolate Affair, but I also presented my workshop   "Hands Across the Novel."  Oh, and if I'm glowing, it's because I did all this while nine months pregnant!
